AhlulBayt News Agency: Three Indian nationals who had gone missing in Iran last month have been safely rescued by the Iranian police in a swift and commendable operation. The rescued individuals are now under the care and supervision of the Indian Embassy in Tehran.
According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, the operation took place in Varamin, located in southern Tehran, where the Iranian police launched a targeted action against the kidnappers, successfully freeing the abducted individuals.
The Government of India has expressed deep gratitude to Iran for its prompt and effective response. In an official statement, India acknowledged Iran's vital cooperation, saying it reflects the "true spirit of friendship" between the two nations.
The Indian Embassy in Iran posted on X (formerly Twitter):
"All three abducted Indian nationals have been rescued safely and are now under the care of the Embassy, which is facilitating their early return to India."
The three rescued youths—Amritpal from Hoshiarpur, Husanpreet from Sangrur, and Jaspal Singh from Nawanshahr, Punjab—had embarked on a journey last month with the intention of traveling to Australia. However, they were kidnapped during their transit through Iran.
The Iranian police and authorities have been widely praised for their professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to justice.
