AhlulBayt News Agency: The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) has returned to Naval Station Norfolk, marking a long-awaited homecoming for the aircraft carrier and its crew after an extended overseas deployment.
According to American media reports, the aircraft carrier will undergo maintenance and repairs at the naval base.
The carrier’s return from the Red Sea for maintenance has sparked questions about its recent engagement with Sanaa forces and the events leading up to its departure.
Sanaa forces previously announced that they had carried out multiple military operations against the USS Truman, claiming to have thwarted several attacks on Yemen and downed three advanced F-18 fighter jets.
It is noteworthy that the USS Truman had already undergone emergency repairs in February after the US Navy reported a collision with a commercial vessel near the Suez Canal.
